ODOT Paving Project to Impact Traffic Near Madison Local Schools

As we prepare to welcome students back for the new school year, we want to make families aware of an upcoming Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) paving project that may affect travel to and from our campus. The district was notified of this project today.

Beginning next week, ODOT contractor Barrett Paving will begin resurfacing State Route 122, from Middletown west past State Route 744 to the Preble County line.

What Families Need to Know

• Traffic Restrictions: Lane closures and restricted traffic flow are expected along State Route 122 throughout the project.
• Plan for Extra Travel Time: Families should anticipate delays, particularly during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal when traveling to Madison Local Schools via SR 122.
• Bus Transportation: Petermann Transportation will communicate directly with families if any bus route or schedule adjustments become necessary due to the construction.

We encourage all families to allow extra time for travel during the first days of school and throughout the duration of the paving project. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as this important road improvement is completed.
