Homecoming Weekend 2026: Celebrate With the Mohawk Community
Madison Local School District invites students, families, alumni and community members to come together for a Homecoming weekend filled with Mohawk traditions and new opportunities to celebrate.
From the Homecoming Parade and football game to Powder Puff football, food trucks and the Homecoming Dance, there will be something for everyone September 24–26. This year’s festivities will also feature an exciting new addition: Madison Local School District’s first annual Carnival!
Whether you join us for one event or spend the weekend celebrating with us, we look forward to welcoming you to campus.
First Annual Madison Local Schools Carnival
For the first time, carnival rides and attractions will be part of Homecoming weekend! The carnival will be open Thursday, September 24, through Saturday, September 26, on the Madison Local Schools campus.
The carnival is hosted by Madison High School and the Madison Elementary PTO in partnership with Chickett Family Amusements.
Carnival Tickets
A limited number of discounted presale tickets are available:
- Presale price: $25 for an all-day ride armband
- Presale quantity: 200 armbands available
- On-site price: $30 after presale tickets sell out
- Presale begins: Wednesday, August 26
- Purchase locations: Madison Elementary, Middle and High School offices
- Office hours: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Payment methods: Cash, check or debit card
- Checks should be made payable to Madison Elementary PTO.
Presale tickets may be redeemed at the ride ticket booth on the day the purchaser attends the carnival. Each presale ticket is valid for one all-day ride armband.
Tickets are available while supplies last, so families are encouraged to purchase early.

Thursday, September 24
Kick off Homecoming weekend with an evening of community festivities:

- Food trucks
- Powder Puff football
- First Annual Madison Local Schools Carnival
Friday, September 25
Show your Mohawk pride as Madison takes on Eaton:
- First Annual Madison Local Schools Carnival
- Madison Mohawks vs. Eaton Homecoming football game
Saturday, September 26
Close out the weekend with more opportunities to gather and celebrate:
- First Annual Madison Local Schools Carnival
- Pee Wee football games
- Madison High School Homecoming Dance
Additional event times, locations and attendance details will be shared as they become available.
Powder Puff Football
Students will take the field Thursday, September 24, for the annual Powder Puff football games.
The schedule provided is:
- 6:30 p.m. — Freshmen vs. Juniors
- 7 p.m. — Sophomores vs. Seniors
- 7:30 p.m. — Championship game
Students participating in Powder Puff may order a class-colored T-shirt designed by Madison Media students:
- Freshmen: Gray
- Sophomores: White
- Juniors: Black
- Seniors: Red
Shirts are $20 each, cash only. Completed order forms and payment must be submitted to the Madison High School office by the end of the day Friday, September 4.
Join the Homecoming Celebration
Homecoming is a time to celebrate the students, schools and community that make Madison special. We invite the entire Mohawk community to join us throughout the weekend, reconnect with friends and neighbors, and take part in the traditions—both old and new—that make it so good to be a Mohawk.
