Certified substitute teachers needed for this school year!

Certified Substitute Opportunities & Recruitment—

The Butler County Educational Service Center and the Warren County Educational Service Center have partnered to employ all certified substitute teachers through the Southwest Ohio Council of Governments (SWO-COG).

The 17 school districts utilizing the SWO-COG will only employ certified substitute teachers who have been hired through the SWO-COG!

SWO-COG Districts:
Butler County: Butler County ESC, Edgewood City SD, Fairfield City SD, Hamilton City SD, Lakota Local SD, Madison Local SD, Middletown City SD, Monroe Local SD, New Miami Local SD, Ross Local SD and Talawanda SD.

Warren County: Carlisle Local SD, Franklin City Schools, Little Miami Local SD, Springboro Community SD, Warren County ESC, and Wayne Local SD.

Job Specific Credential Requirements for Certified Substitute Teachers:
-Bachelor’s Degree (Ability to apply online for Ohio Department of Education Substitute License) OR
-Valid Teaching Credential issued by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE)

Process for hiring certified substitute teachers:
1) Please go to the following website: www.bcesc.org. Please use either Internet Explorer or Google Chrome as your web browser. Firefox does not always show all the information needed on the site.
2) Once on the BCESC site, scroll down and click the green box, titled, Substitute Teachers.
3) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the link, Steps to Becoming a SWO-COG Substitute.
4) Under Employment Paperwork, Documents & Payroll Forms, click on the Substitute Application Checklist. This checklist details all the documents and forms you need to print out, complete and bring to a mandatory substitute orientation session, along with pre-payment(s) as well. The link to all the documents and forms are listed under the Substitute Application Checklist on the website.
5) You must also register for one of the SWO-COG mandatory substitute orientation sessions listed on the website. We have orientations scheduled through the middle of March 2015. Just click the SWO-COG Substitute Orientation Dates link, under #3) Register for a mandatory Substitute Orientation Session, to register for a session.
